Mondo was the first company to vulcanize sports surfaces, manufacturing one strong piece of rubber with two different physical properties, allowing customization for various uses. Mondo’s proprietary vulcanization process uses only virgin rubber—never recycled—permanently fusing surface layers together with high heat and pressure for ultimate strength, resistance and elasticity. It also ensures that the biomechanical and physical properties stay consistent and never separate over the products’ long lifespan.
